How porcelain veneers can enhance your smile!
If you find yourself covering your mouth when you laugh, smile, or talk with friends and family, you know how important a smile’s appearance can be when socializing. However, imperfections in the smile that make you feel self-conscious can be addressed with cosmetic dentistry services. At Kelley Family Dental Center of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Drs. Jonathan and Gretchen Kelley can assist with esthetic services such as porcelain veneers. Porcelain veneers are one of several esthetic treatment options available at our office for patients to use in enhancing their appearance.

What is a porcelain veneer?
A porcelain veneer is best described as a thin tooth facing that is fabricated specifically for a patient to match their existing teeth while covering up a tooth that has an imperfection. Alternatively, composite veneers made with a composite resin can also achieve the same results but may not last as long as their porcelain counterparts. Porcelain veneers are natural-looking restorations that do not add bulk to the natural tooth and can completely disguise the following concerns:
- Chipped tooth
- Cracked tooth
- Permanently stained tooth
- Short or uneven tooth
- Gapped teeth
- Misaligned teeth
What Are Veneers? Discover How They Can Transform Your Smile!

As a dentist here at Kelley Family Dental, I’m more than happy to explain what veneers are and how they can boost your smile. Veneers are slim, tailor-made coverings made from materials that match the color of your teeth. They’re designed to cover the front of your teeth. They’re a fantastic way to improve your smile and they’ve gained popularity because of how straightforward and versatile they are. Veneers can fix a variety of dental problems. If your teeth are discolored, chipped, or have gaps, veneers can easily sort these issues out, leaving you with a more appealing and glowing smile. They can also be used to fix teeth that are slightly crooked or oddly shaped. The best part about veneers is that they’re custom-made to fit your teeth exactly, ensuring a natural and visually pleasing appearance. Here at Kelley Family Dental, we use cutting-edge technology and high-quality materials to give you the best outcome possible. Prior to beginning treatment, we can make a mold of your teeth and have designs of your new veneers made in wax, so that you can see the potential outcome before your teeth are ever touched. If you’re in Albuquerque, New Mexico, or the nearby areas, I encourage you to give us a ring at (505) 898-4504. We’d be glad to arrange a consultation to discuss whether veneers are the right choice for you. We’re dedicated to helping our patients get the smile they’ve always dreamed of and we’d be thrilled to do the same for you
Experience a Comfortable Veneer Procedure at Kelley Family Dental Center

Here at Kelley Family Dental, your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities in every service we provide including our veneer procedure. As a general dentistry practice, we’ve got a wealth of experience in cosmetic dentistry and have successfully fitted veneers for many patients in and around Albuquerque, New Mexico. We’ve designed our veneer procedure to be as comfortable and pain-free as possible. We start with a consultation to clearly understand what you need and what you hope for. Then, we do a thorough examination of your teeth to ensure that veneers are the best solution for you. Getting veneers usually takes a few appointments. In the first one, we’ll prepare your teeth by removing a tiny bit of enamel to make space for the veneer. Here we do this under local anesthesia so you won’t feel any discomfort. After that, we take a digital scan of your teeth to make sure your veneers will be a perfect match. When your custom veneers are ready, we’ll temporarily place them on your teeth to check the fit and color. We’ll make any necessary adjustments at this point to make sure they look natural and feel comfortable. Then, we bond your veneers to your teeth using a special adhesive and a light beam to harden and set the bond. This part is painless, too. After the procedure, you might feel a bit of sensitivity, but this is only temporary and will often go away quickly. We’ll give you detailed instructions for aftercare. and we’re always here to answer any questions. At Kelley Family Dental we believe in giving our patients personalized care and attention. We’re dedicated to helping you get your desired smile with as little discomfort. If you’re considering getting veneers and living in or around Albuquerque, New Mexico, we invite you to call us at (505) 898-4504 to schedule a consultation. We’re looking forward to helping you enhance your smile.
How can I obtain a natural-looking veneer?
The first step to veneers is a consultation appointment with Drs. Jonathan and Gretchen Kelley of Albuquerque, New Mexico. They take the time to talk with you about your desires and goals and evaluate your smile to decide if veneers are appropriate. In order to prepare the teeth for the veneers, some filling of the teeth may be needed to remove imperfections and allow the space in your mouth to add the veneer. They then use a state-of-the-art 3D scanner to send images of your teeth to the laboratory technician to fabricate the custom porcelain veneers. Patients then return for a second appointment to have our team bond the veneers in place for the final result. With proper care, our patients can expect their veneers to last many years!
